From Revenge to Prayer: Michael Feehan's Road Out of "the Lowest Hell"
Michael Feehan, the Sydney author of Seven Prayers, on how he says prayer replaced revenge after the events of 2019, and the four years of prayer that became his book.

Michael Feehan does not tidy up the start of his story. In 2019, he says, “horrific trauma was done to me and my family.” His response, in his words, was to plan revenge.
Then, he says, something changed. “God found me in the lowest hell and taught me to pray.” The Sydney-based author, who goes by “OG7P,” turned that experience into Seven Prayers, a prayer book published on 28 April 2023.
The Lowest Point
Feehan is plain about where he started. He describes the events of 2019 as the beginning of everything that followed, and he does not dress them up. He calls the story behind his book “a true horror story.”
What he emphasizes is not the damage but what came next. “God found me in the lowest hell and kept me,” he says. For Feehan, that sentence is the whole turning point. Revenge was the plan, and prayer replaced it.
Resilience is often described as the ability to endure. Feehan’s account is different. He says he was taught to pray, and he describes his challenge simply as “praying out of the lowest hell.”
Four Years of Prayer
From 2019, Feehan says, he prayed day and night. He remained at it until the book was published in 2023.
“Seven Prayers is the result of me praying day and night since 2019,” he says. “God heard my prayers and answered them. The book was published.”
The way he tells it, the book is not a reflection written from a safe distance. He describes Seven Prayers as “a lived, prayed and answered prayer book,” and says that “there is nothing like this on earth.” He adds that it is “living and breathing” and “no ordinary prayer book.”
A Message for Anyone Struggling
Feehan’s story gives his message its force. He believes the answer he found is available to everyone. “Prayer solves every problem known to man,” he says. “It is the most powerful weapon we have.”
His philosophy is just as inclusive. “Anyone can pray and everyone will pray,” he says.
That is also the mission of his venture, SEVEN PRAYERS, which he describes this way: “We prompt prayer.” The message does not depend on a person’s background or the size of their problem.
Feehan is also clear that the book is meant to be used. It is a prayer book, and he describes it as the record of prayers he lived and saw answered. Readers who pick it up, in his view, are picking up something that was prayed through rather than simply written.
Beyond the Book
Feehan has also taken the book into the public eye. He has completed an article with Michael Franzese and has gifted Franzese a copy of Seven Prayers. Through SEVEN PRAYERS, he sponsors professional boxing, including former NBA player Delonte West’s bout for Brandrisk. The boxing sponsorship images Feehan shared feature four-time world champion and Boxing Hall of Famer Jeff Fenech, Paul Gallen and Delonte West. Separately, in music, famous producer Scott Storch has partnered with SEVEN PRAYERS to create the SEVEN PRAYERS soundtrack.

He treats these as part of a larger story rather than the center of it. The center, for Feehan, remains the prayers themselves.
What He Hopes Happens Next
Feehan’s goal is for Seven Prayers to become the number one prayer book in the world. He pairs that ambition with a call to action that fits on a single line. “PRAY,” he says.
For readers who may be facing their own lowest point, that is the invitation at the heart of his story. He is not offering an elaborate method. He is offering the one thing he says he did, and the one thing he says works.
