Bizcap Lands a $175 Million Credit Facility to Fund More Small Businesses From Its Miami Base

Small business lender Bizcap closed a $175 million credit facility to grow across the U.S. and Canada, and is moving close to 100 people into a new North American headquarters at The Well in Bay Harbo

MIAMI — For a lot of small business owners, the problem isn’t finding an opportunity. It’s getting cash fast enough to act on it, whether that means restocking before a busy season, replacing a broken oven or covering payroll while a large invoice is outstanding. A lender that recently put its North American headquarters in Miami just secured a lot more money to fill that gap.

Bizcap, a financial technology company that funds small and medium-sized businesses, has closed a $175 million credit facility with a U.S. institutional credit manager, Refresh Miami reported on Nov. 2. The company says the capital will help it reach more businesses across the United States and Canada. The lender was not named.

Funding Decisions in Hours

Bizcap pitches speed. The company says it uses proprietary technology, data-driven underwriting and local market expertise to make funding decisions “in as little as 3 hours,” with capital available the next day.

Founded in Australia in 2019, Bizcap says it now operates in eight countries and has provided more than $5 billion in funding to over 100,000 businesses worldwide.

“We’ve achieved that by looking beyond traditional credit metrics, combining technology and data with a deeper understanding of each business to identify opportunities that other lenders might overlook,” Bizcap CEO Albert Gahfi, who is based in Miami, told Refresh Miami. “This facility gives us the capacity to bring that approach to more businesses across the US and Canada, while continuing to invest in the technology, products and people driving our growth.”

Beyond North America, the company says the facility will support expansion in Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, the United Kingdom and Europe. Bizcap also says it will put more money into AI, proprietary technology and operations infrastructure. Its stated AI focus is on stronger credit decisions, more efficient operations and faster, better-informed funding decisions.

A New Home in Bay Harbor

The financing comes as Bizcap settles into South Florida. The company announced its Miami headquarters move this summer, and Gahfi shared new details with Refresh Miami.

“We’re moving into our new HQ at The Well in Bay Harbor, and it’s going to be the hub for everything we do in North America,” Gahfi said. “It brings close to 100 of us together in a top-of-the-line office. This is a milestone for Bizcap in the US, and we’re going to keep growing from here.”

That matters for local job seekers. In an earlier interview in July, Gahfi said all new U.S. hires would be based in Miami going forward, according to Refresh Miami.

“South Florida is fast becoming a major financial hub. Banks, financial firms and fintechs are moving in and building up big operations in the region,” Gahfi said. “Miami has the right people and the right talent all right here making it the perfect home base for our growth across North America.”

What Small Business Owners Should Know

Fast funding has a real place in a small company’s toolkit, especially for businesses that can’t wait weeks for a bank decision or don’t fit a traditional lender’s checklist. Speed and flexibility usually come at a price, though. Before signing any fast-funding agreement, owners should compare the total cost of capital, the repayment schedule and how payments will affect day-to-day cash flow against alternatives such as SBA-backed loans, bank lines of credit or community lenders.

A few practical questions to ask any fast-capital provider:

  • What is the total payback amount? Ask for the full dollar figure you will repay, not just a factor rate or a weekly payment.
  • How often are payments collected? Daily or weekly withdrawals can strain cash flow during slow weeks.
  • Is there a benefit to paying early? Some products give no discount for early payoff.
  • What happens if revenue dips? Find out whether there’s any flexibility before you need it.

A Busy Fintech Corridor

Bizcap joins a growing group of fintech companies building in a region full of small businesses. Refresh Miami noted that fintech startups drew nearly $1 billion in venture capital in 2025, a trend it says has continued into this year, and pointed to a new fintech accelerator backed by Ambition Accelerated and Gold Coast Tech in West Palm Beach.

The broader point for South Florida’s entrepreneurs is that more lenders are competing to fund small businesses here, and that competition can work in owners’ favor. It gives them more options and more pressure on lenders to be transparent. The best-prepared owners will keep clean books, know their numbers and compare offers before they need cash in a hurry.
